About Prophecyandsurvival.com
Prophecyandsurvival.com is a website which was inspired by a growing body of information which supports the probability of impending climate change and conditions and events which are consistent with those projected by certain American Indian prophecies, most notably those of the Hopi and the Iroquois. The site includes links to information about the history and science of greenhouse gases and global warming and the unfolding uncertainties such evolutions can be expected to trigger, including global energy crises and the possibility of a future food crisis due to the limited long-term viability of biologically modified and hybridized crop seeds. The site markets Iroquois White Corn and other products and has lists and links to other sources of food products and seeds for heritage foods.
Articles include but are not limited to information about slow foods, seed banks, foods which can be gathered in the wild, contemporary health issues related to modern processed foods and modern agriculture, and related topics. There will be some book reviews and even recipes about how “slow foods,” the original heritage foods and seeds, are grown, harvested, stored, cooked and eaten. The tone of the site emphasizes the Native American tradition of pragmatism and tends to avoid controversial speculation while treating cultural traditions which contain prophecies with respect and deference. Updated periodically.
Prophecyandsurvival.com is a project of Pinewoods Community Farming and the Iroquois White Corn Project. Editor: John C. Mohawk, with Lori Taylor and others.
